Dennis Stokes -
Managing Director
Dennis Stokes brings over 40 years of estimating and procurement expertise to Better Building Support. His experience spans small independent builders through to large group home builders, giving him a unique understanding of cost structures, risk, and project complexity across the industry.
A committee member of the East Auckland Master Builders chapter, Dennis is well‑connected and highly respected for his accuracy, efficiency, and practical approach to value engineering. His work helps clients price confidently, reduce risk, and protect the investment behind every project.
Outside of work, Dennis enjoys Bruce Springsteen, rugby, walks with Chief Barking Officer Leia, and a quiet beer at the marina.
Angelique Jurd -
Managing Director
Angelique brings a unique blend of analytical expertise, operational insight, and communication mastery to Better Building Support. With a master’s degree in media analysis and literature, and a professional background in management and journalism, she leads systems analysis and operational management, overseeing the design, documentation, and optimisation of workflows across platforms such as Fergus, Groundplan, and Xero.
Training in funnel strategy and experience as a published author allow Angeliqueto translate complex processes into clear, scalable systems that teams can understand, teach, and rely on.

When she’s not working, Angelique enjoys listening to Bruce Springsteen, reading, watching movies, walking Chief Barking Officer Leia, and discovering new cocktails.
Leia (Princess of Mischief) -
Chief Barking Officer
Leia oversees perimeter checks, visitor alerts, and general office morale at Better Building Support. As Head of Security, she takes her responsibilities seriously — monitoring foot traffic, announcing arrivals with enthusiasm, and ensuring all team members take regular breaks for fresh air and movement.
When she’s off duty, Leia enjoys beach walks, supervising kitchen activities, greeting locals at the marina, and spending time with her favourite humans.
